That's awesome! It's weird to say this, but I'm glad you had that experience! The world is too busy and loud and crazy, and those silent times are so important.
I know a few people who have had mental breakdowns that wish they could go back to the mental hospital for a few days, because it was so quiet and un-demanding. That represents a huge problem in society.
And yeah absolutely! The idea that we need to "promote ourselves" as writers never stops! Speaking of self promotion...
